Here are some strategies to cleanse your mind and refocus on life:
Declutter Your Mind:
Journaling: Write down your thoughts, worries, and anxieties. Putting them on paper can help you externalize them and gain clarity.
Mind Mapping: Visually represent your thoughts and connections between them. This can help you identify patterns and areas needing focus.
Meditation: Practice mindfulness meditation to quiet your mind and cultivate present-moment awareness. There are many guided meditations available online or through apps.
Develop Healthy Habits:
Sleep: Aim for 7-8 hours of quality sleep each night. Sleep deprivation can significantly impact your mental clarity and focus.
Exercise: Regular physical activity releases endorphins, which improve mood and reduce stress. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week.
Healthy Diet: Eating nutritious foods provides your brain with the energy and nutrients it needs to function optimally.
Reduce External Stimuli:
Limit Screen Time: Excessive screen time can be mentally draining and contribute to feeling overwhelmed. Set boundaries for phone and computer use, especially before bed.
Digital Detox: Consider taking a break from social media and other digital distractions for a set period. This can help you reconnect with yourself and your surroundings.
Simplify Your Schedule: Avoid overscheduling yourself. Make time for relaxation and activities you enjoy.
Reconnect with Yourself:
Spend Time in Nature: Immerse yourself in nature. Go for a walk in the park, spend time by the ocean, or simply sit in your backyard. Nature has a calming effect on the mind and can help you refocus.
Hobbies and Activities: Engage in hobbies or activities you find relaxing and enjoyable. This could be anything from reading to playing music, spending time with loved ones, or pursuing a creative outlet.
Gratitude Practice: Focus on the positive aspects of your life. Write down things you're grateful for each day or practice a gratitude meditation.
Seek Professional Help:
If you're struggling to cleanse your mind and refocus on life on your own, consider seeking professional help. A therapist can provide guidance and support in developing healthy coping mechanisms and managing stress.
Remember: Cleansing your mind and refocusing is a journey, not a destination. Be patient with yourself, celebrate your progress, and don't be afraid to experiment to find what works best for you.
How complicated is it to understand and fix our Value System?
As you can see there are 4 elements (in amber colour) which our brain develops over our life for each of the 30 odd items listed on the right (in green colour). So its almost a set of 120 lists that our brain maintains. And in each list there around 5-10 items. So we are talking of around 1000-2000 focus-points that makes up our Value System.
A digression; by now, if your head is spinning with so much of information thrown at you, then its no wonder, its absolutely normal. This is how complex our world, our life, our value system is. Take a break and come back later. We have thought through each of these points and have developed guidance for you to follow.
Back to the point now; of course as soon as focus points get to this big number (~1000) its already very complex.
Its almost impossible for a person to:
A) Sit down and think about each of the 1000 points
B) Examine whether the point we have in mind is correct or not
C) Finally where required alter, change, modify, replace the point.
Not many people can do this; hence we behave they way what our Value system is casted over years. And this is what defines our personality. Whenever in life when we face setback: defeat, failure, emotional or physical or financial; its because of a glitch somewhere in our Value system. The purpose of IFLC is to help identify those glitches and correct them. And this can't happen in a few days; we will have to comb our Value system one focus-point at a time and fix it.
This where children have the advantage; if their value system is casted right since childhood then their journey of life will be smoother than others.
More details on how to attain the best value system will be added soon.
